Dear Yashini,
I believe your dancing Balakrishnan is made of bronze and is made in 19th century. It misses patin and wear of the real 8th / 9th century pieces. Expression and way of making is done in traditional way. Its not made for export I believe but made for religious purpose in a small ( house ) temple. My estimation is based on prices made in auctions and sales rooms for an object of more or less the same quality, age and expression.
