Thank you for calling upon the experts at Mearto to evaluate your steamer trunk made by Dufficy, Thomas Dufficy and Co from Louisville, KY. Your example can easily be dated as circa 1900 because in 1906 the plant was destroyed by fire.

While the inside could use conservation and careful cleaning and I believe the exterior has been painted, the trunk is an unusual size and has great solid hardware so I would still expect this piece to sell between $200 and $300 at auction.
