Antique Wilhelm Menzler Casel Portrait Painting On Wood Panel
Hi and how are you? I am interested in possibly selling this painting. I am curious to know the value and anymore information or biography pertaining to the artist. Although undated, I feel this portrait is possibly circa 1870's-1880's(?). It is an antique German Wilhelm Menzler painting on thick wood panel in original ornate gesso frame. The painted image unframed is approximately 10 by 7 inches. It is signed on the top right hand corner and comes in its original gold gesso frame. There is an old faded, unreadable gallery label on back. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

It is a very nice painting you have. We believe it is made by Wilhelm Menzler, but you need to contact one of the big auction houses. (Sotheby´s or Bonhams)
Our estemate is based on if it is original.
