Hi Joan
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Armand Marseille (known by the AM mark) dolls are some of the most famous and widely collected antique dolls, especially known for their bisque heads. The company was one of the largest German doll manufacturers during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
While Armand Marseille dolls can command some of the highest prices today, smaller dolls - including ones of this size - usually don't sell for more than $150-200 at auction, even for dolls in as good condition as this one appears to be.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An early Antique Armand Marseille bisque and wood doll
bisque porcelain head with blond hair and blue sleeping eyes on a wood and composition body, wearing a white silk cress with paste pearls. Marked to the back of the head.
