Heinrich Keilman Possibly
36×14 at its widest
Hi Leo,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
I'm not sure what the connection to Heinrich Keilman is - he isn't listed among clockmakers and I don't *see* any marks or labels suggesting he made this so if you have more information on this please share at your convenience.
Victorian wall clocks are soft market these days; most sell for significantly less than $500, with ones without an attribution nearly always bringing less than $300. In this case, yours is worth $150-250 at auction; it could bring a bit more if sold in a dedicated clock auction.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
An antique Victorian style turned walnut and maple regulator wall clock
unattributed maker, American or European, mid-late 19th Century
The molded paneled and turned case with tall molded cornice centering a ball finial over a glazed central door centering an unsigned enameled white dial with Roman numeral chapter rings and pendulum marked "K-A", the brass works impressed "73156".
36 inches high by 14 inches (greatest width)
CONDITION: This clock appears to be in good cosmetic condition; working condition is not warranted.
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$150-250*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto.
