What does this mean?

DEar Brab,

What you have here is a porcelain waterpot made for export purposes in Japan around 1950 / 1960. The model is originally found mainly in China but marking and style makes it clear this is made in Japan. Japan and China did influence each other throughout the ages so I'm not surprised to see a Chinese shape made in Japan. WAterpots were storage jars for fresh water mainly for tea and drinking. Unfortunately your pot is not an antique and is not very attractive for collectors to be honest. Thats why I believe the estimate I gave you is a fair price if this came to auction or sales room.
