Thanks. I've no idea how close to your asking price I got - no auction comparables, which is what we typically base our valuations on. If you need it adjusted let me know. or if you need it priced in GBP...
I Delia, thanks for your feedback, appreciated. I was hoping it might be eligible for a Mearto auction. The silver alone is close to 900 euros. I would really like to sell this piece on this platform if possible. Open to your thoughts, Colm
I've converted to Euro and changed the value but kept the asking price at EUR3,000. I realize this doesn't likely cover nearly your time but the values Mearto appraises at are for fair market rather than retail and I don't have any auction comparables to base this at. If you've marked this as "YES" for sale, it's now visible for sale on our marketplace; you can accept or decline any offers.
Let me know if that's helpful...
Thank you Delia. How do you access the marketplace? Colm
If this is marked YES to sell, it should be accessible for others to see on the marketplace.
Hi Delia,
I was commissioned to make the chess set in 1999 in Vancouver Canada.
For reasons outside my control, the sale fell through before the set was finished, but I finished it anyway just to tick that box off. I was busy with other business for years and forgot about it - the chess set has been sitting in a suit case ever since. It's time somebody enjoyed it.
Thanks, Colm
