41" inches tall
From private collection
Good morning, Joseph,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
There are two artists with the last name Villareal who did bronze ballerina sculptures; I think Victor is the more likely of the two and what I have based my valuation on but if you have reason to think this was done by Javier Villareal please let me know so I can amend the valuation if necessary.
Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
Victor Villareal (Mexican, born 1944)
Ballerina
bronze
base inscribed "Villareal"
41 inches tall
$700-1,000
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you for using Mearto.
Good evening, Joseph,
Are you looking at auction estimates for those, or retail prices (which are in most cases much higher than auction)? Mearto's values are for auction. If you can forward the links that you were looking at, I am happy to take a look and reevaluate if its warranted.
Hello Madelia. No, I do not need an auction value. This item is going into my personal collection and catalogued for insurance. Here are the links;

Hi Joseph,
This would have an insurance value of $2,000. The values Mearto gives are strictly for fair market / auction value. If you need an insurance appraisal, you need to find an appraiser certified for USPAP; a list of qualified appraisers in your area can be found here: https://mearto.com/appraisers.
Thank you, Madelia, and happy Friday. I thought the piece would have a higher estimate. When I researched the artist, his pieces have a higher value for much smaller (Height) pieces.
