Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a lovely baltic amber necklace. The amber pieces are of various sizes and have been polished decoratively and in a fashion to match their shape. The colour is deep and warm. I think the silver coloured metal may be silver either 830 or 925 sterlingsilver. The design of the necklace and choice of materials leads me to believe that the necklace was made in the 1970s-1980s when this particular style was in fashion. Amber is not the most expensive material used for jewellery however it is very decorative and may surprise at auction in a positive direction with regards to the selling price.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the necklace has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the beautiful necklace. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
I do not wish to sell it
