This is an original signed work in acrylic, wash and graphite on masonite that was done by the American, female artist, Elaine Freid de Kooning (1918 - 1989). She was an accomplished abstract, genre and portrait painter in her own right who was also known for being the wife of blue chip artist, Willem de Kooning. In this work there is a realist aspect showing figures playing basketball that is not one of her fully abstracted works. She has a strong auction sales history and her works are collected. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables.
