Scenic views painted on the sides and 2 birds with flowering painted across the top and on the legs. Also has Chinese writing on the top right corner of the table top.

Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage George III style black lacquer japanned desk
In the English taste, probably 20th Century
The rectangular top with bowed front depicting cranes in a garden within a gilt lacquered border, the frame fitted with a central short drawer with stylized peony decoration, flanked by two deeper short drawers with floral decoration on the front, the back and sides with landscape decoration, all raised on four tall straight cabriole legs ending in pad feet. Black lacquer ground overall.

CONDITION: appears to be in good condition with wear commensurate to age and use.
