What does this mean?

Dear Djordje,

Thank you for choosing Mearto for your online appraisal.

Based on the images and available information, this item is:

A remarkable T'ung Chih Period (1862 - 1873) Chinese Blue & White Porcelain Vase, from circa late 19th century. The conquest of China left the early Manchus little time for cultural pursuits and very few marked ceramics are known from the Shun-chih period.

he tradition of blue and white porcelain in China dates back to the 14th century during the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368). However, it gained significant popularity and reached its peak during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). Blue and white porcelain vases were exported in large quantities to various parts of the world, becoming highly prized and influential in the global ceramics market.

Very good condition.
