Purchased from a son who was selling for his mother who downsized. He stated she paid over two thousand EACH about 2-3 decades if not more ago. Was used in home as far as I know.

Rugs are not typically sold in pairs and if the OTHER rug is in worse condition I would feel better - if you needed that one appraised - to see photos of the damage.
Without a photo of the label, its difficult to know if this was made in France or in China, where reproduction Aubusson carpets have been made since the mid 20th Century.
