The work is an impressionist style painting with an impasto technique. It depicts a possibly Dutch street scene with figures and a windmill in the background. To the lower right is a signature which reads "Benay." The painting is in good condition with some crushed impasto throughout.

Benay is a listed, but unknown artist, and has had multiple works of similar style and composition on the market. These works typically depict modernist style European street scenes with near-abstract figures.
