Dear Jill,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with this other appraisal inquiry.
This undated oil painting on canvas appears to be by the Thailandese artist called NOPARAT LIVISIDDHI (b. 1932). It depicts a floating market, and it measures 23 1/2 (h) 15 1/2 (w) inches; Frame: 24 (h) x 32 (w) inches. Signed lower left: Noparat. It is housed in a wooden frame and appears to be in excellent condition overall.
The estimation highlighted in red above is based on comparables offered and sold at auction in the last five years. The subject work’s size, composition, condition (based on photographs and comments provided), and the artists’ current auction market were considered when determining the estimate. In many cases, pricing for similar items available on the primary (retail) market vary and are often higher than secondary (auction) market examples.
Best regards,
Karine
