An antique Orientalist style enamel and parcel gilt bowl
unattributed maker, American or European, late 19th Century
Of circular section, tapered form and allover dotted navy enamel glaze ground, with flat rim decorated with stylized blue and yellow floral elements, the body with swag upper rim over decorative border with foliate designs, centering (3 or 4) white-ground medallions with gilt C-scroll borders centering red cross-hatched fields enclosing red or gilt decorative motifs, swag and foliate lower bands. White glazed interior and foot, unmarked.
4 inches high, 5 inches diameter
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition expecting with some minor wear (rubbing to foot, minor losses to enamels) from age and use; value assumes not chips, breaks, repairs or losses.
