This is a teak suite of hand carved furniture. The carving is intricate, and has been described as 'crisp'. It has been restored and is in excellent condition. It consists of a settle, three matching chairs, and a matching coffee table. I bought it in Java, where I was accompanied by a dealer friend, and was told that dates from the Dutch Colonial era.
See above. When I bought it, the my friend told me that the upholstery had been renewed at least once, and that the set currently boasted Pirelli webbing. I bought the set twenty years ago, and my friend estimated that the suite was at least sixty years old then. He thought it might be much older, but said he was reluctant to date it -
