Raphaël Nannini (1852–1925) was an Italian sculptor renowned for his bronze and ivory figures. Born in Florence, he studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti and later worked in his hometown, crafting pieces for French companies such as Les Neveux de J. Lehman and Edmond Etling in the early 20th century. Nannini also exhibited at the Paris Salon.
In the early 20th century, Nannini lived with his sister Maria, also a sculptor, in Les Fusains, a Parisian artists' colony at the foot of Montmartre. There, he created statuettes in the Art Nouveau and early Art Deco styles, which were produced and distributed by art editors and foundries such as Les Neveux de Jules Lehmann and Edmond Etling.
When Nannini's works of this size and subject come to market, they usually sell for between $400 and $600.
