Item Specifications: All Hand Print By Kobe Bryant Autographed Collectible Basketball 81Pts 11/81 Limited Edition Panini Authentic With Certificate Of Authenticity.
I've got this item through eBay on a State Auction around 8 - 10 years ago, there are only 81 items of these kind, a few sports collectors I talked to and they all agree is with the big tragedy and the loss of Kobe Bryant everything in the market went skyrocket and two of them suggested to find the right people to put it on the market or the right auction because it could hit big.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Based on the photographs and description provided, this subject of this appraisal is a signed official Spalding NBA game basketball bearing the signature of Kobe Bryant in silver paint pen. This piece was produced for Panini and commemorates Bryant's 81-point scoring performance on January 22, 2006.
The piece includes an official Panini hologram and a matching certificate of authenticity. The ball is numbered 11 of 81.
Prior to Bryant's passing, his on-ball signatures, including those in this 81 piece set, were in the $600 to $700 price range in general. In the days since his passing, the demand for his memorabilia has increased greatly, and based on current market conditions, Fair Market Value (a pre-auction estimate of the piece) would be estimated between $2,500 and $4,500 USD.
The comparables that inform this estimate are four similar Panini basketballs falling generally within that price range that ended in this week since Bryant's passing at Pristine Auction, excluding an outlier with a special inscription of "Mamba Out".
