From my friend who bought it from a movie server
Dear Micheline,
Thank you for your request. This is a big china buffet made out of different sorts of wood. Mainly probably nut wood and mahogany are used. This type of furniture was developed in the 17th century to store and present the flatware and silver and also the precious tablecloths. These two functions are still visible at this piece which was probably made at the beginning of the 20th century.
An estimation would be between 1000 to 3000 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
