Burts Cason fish lamp
Signed by artist, NO Lampshade, silver and gold with fish on either side, heavy, 30 inches tall from base to top of finial. Original finial, round ball. Nine inches wide from fish to fish. I have plugged it in and it does work. Looks like original wiring

I purchased it at a resale shop. I have googled the name and it looks very similar to other lamps from this artist. No other info

Burts Cason lamps can retail in the hundreds, but at auction - which are the values Mearto appraises at - his lamps rarely bring more than $100. I've appraised this on the high side because it's a fine example.

Of circular section with gilt ball finial over harp, the body with an embricated and gilt top flanked by fish, the swelled body with applied squares of silver gilding, on a molded circular base, signed Burts Cason.
Height: 30 inches; Diameter: 9 inches
CONDITION: lacking shade but appears to be in good condition, in working condition,
