Oil on canvas painting, 2'×4' excluding frame. Signed but unable determine artist.
Painting belonged to great aunt, item was left to me. May be from Austrian or German artist.

Very decorative painting from the mid to late 1800s. Difficult to determine exact age and origin without an artist name - is it possible to take a closeup photo of the signature or perhaps if there are any signature/title on the back of the canvas.
Thank you- without being able to find out who the artist is the estimate is based upon it being painted by a skilled amateur painter. It was probably made in the late 19th century/early 20th century. The motif looks French possibly from Paris or another large town. Without a well-recognized artist name the estimate is somewhere between 300-500 USD

Very difficult to read and get a good picture. It looks like Karan....but not sure.
