Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a very spectacular fashion jewelry necklace manufactured by Cadoro Jewels Corp. (American, 1954–1987). It is made of cast gild metal and glass cabochons. Cadoro faux jewelry is very collectible. The estimate is based on similar offered or sold at auction. "Asking prices" in the trade can be higher and vary. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to it.
Klaus thanks for your appraisal. I have also seen similar necklaces by Codoro of the same era however I’ve found none as ornate and dramatic. I would appreciate your directing me to the pieces you used as a comparison. Also you say nothing of the extra value this piece has because it was designed by Nina Ricci. I know she designed only a few pieces. Does your appraisal reflect that?
