Campbell Soup Company engaged in heavy advertising and brand extension throughout the 20th century, including vending machines, branded merchandise, and promotional kitchen appliances.
The rise of electrified kitchen gadgets in the 1940s–1960s coincided with innovations in convenience foods. Soup warmers like this one were aimed at both the consumer and small business markets, highlighting Campbell’s “ready-to-eat” convenience.
This particular vintage Campbell's Soup electric soup warmer dates to the 1950s and was more likely made for promotional or commercial use, such as in lunch counters, break rooms, or diners rather than private consumer / home use.
When these soup warmers come up for auction these days, they usually sell between $150-250 but yours has had a lot of wear to it's painted surfaces - with losses to both the red and white paint overall; it's more likely to bring prices between $75 and $125 at auction.
