sterling silver candelabra 9.5 inches tall, 9.5 inches wide, 1.68 gross wgt
late 1960's early 1970's
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
You have a five-light Duchin sterling silver candelabra. The candelabra has a segmented baluster standard, issuing four scrolling arms terminating in candlecups. The standard terminates in a candlecup to one end and a circular foot to the other. The candelabra was likely produced in the third-quarter of the 20th century.
The marks indicate that it is indeed silver, but unfortunately, it is weighted (the base is weighted with wax and sometimes lead), so the gross weight is really irrelevant to the value. The estimate I have provided is an auction estimate.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Kind regards,
Corey
