What does this mean?

This is an antique late 19th to early 20th century, Victorian style, Chinese export travel board game set from Canton. It is called Xiangqi and is a version of 'Chinese Chess'; not quite checkers. The game set is housed in a hand decorated lacquer box and comes with the original paper board. The paying pieces appear to be made of wood. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
