39 × 39 inches
Hello, this item is a large oil painting on canvas, approximately 39 x 39 inches, titled “Sunset with Sailboat,” attributed to the artist Carlson. The composition features a silhouetted tall ship set against a glowing sunset background, using a restrained, almost monochromatic palette with warm sepia and rust tones. While works signed “Carlson” frequently appear in maritime-themed decorative art, many are mid-to-late 20th-century productions intended for interior décor rather than fine art galleries, often sold through home furnishing retailers or regional art outlets.
In today’s market, unsigned or decorator-signed maritime paintings of this style generally range between $200–600 USD, depending on size, condition, and visual impact, with larger, well-executed canvases like this one leaning toward the upper end.
