The semi-modern brilliant cut diamonds sparkle less and the visual appeal is not as good compared to a modern brilliant cut diamond. A fair market value, based on comparable rings actually sold at auction would be 1000-1200 USD. The other sapphire and diamond 18 karat gold / palladium and platinum ring also dates to the Art Deco era and would currently sell in the range of 600-800 USD at a well advertised auction. Retail prices in the trade can be higher and can vary. There is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the items.
