12 inch ceramic vase
southern Arkansas
This is a matte glaze, American art pottery vase by the firm of Roseville in their pattern named 'Donatello'. This pattern design was introduced by Roseville Pottery in 1916 and the standard glaze color was cream with green and brown. The body is fluted with a raise molded band depicting cherubs or putti. The overall form shape is baluster with flared opening. Most early Donatello pieces were unmarked. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
