A vintage Colonial Revival style inlaid mahogany and cherry tall case clock
limited edition, made by Charles R. Sligh, Grand Rapids, Mich., mid-late 20th Century
Marquis model #217, with German made brass works
Broken swan's neck scrolled pediment flanked by and centering three urn finials, the tombstone-shaped glass door opening to cobalt moon-phase and brass dial with Arabic chapter rings, the waisted case with engaged reeded quarter columns centering a glass door opening to brass lyre-form pendulum, weights and chains, on a stepped box base. Stylized foliate inlay throughout.
89-3/4 inches high, 27-1/8 inches wide, 16-3/8 inches deep
CONDITION: appears to be in generally good condition; value assumes no breaks, repairs or losses, and that this is in working condition.
