This was my Father's Charlie McCarthy Ventriloquist Dummy Doll. His parents purchased it for him, I believe, in the 1930's (perhaps 40's) when he was a child. He passed away in his late 70's in 2003. It is in poor condition, and is missing clothing & his monocle. However, his mouth is attached by the original strings and is movable. There is an Effanbee mark on his back. His hair is in a style that I have not been able to find in my research. The pins which hold his vest down in the back are original.
