What does this mean?

Hello Daniel,

Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with Mearto. The item presented appears to be a set of Chinese wall or screen panels. The panels are composed of wood with lacquer, paint, carved resin, and carved mother-of-pearl accents. These panels were typically produced in China and exported throughout the 20th century. They will sometime retain a label from the distributor.

The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of comparable Chinese lacquered panels with stone and painting embellishments, dating to the early to mid 20th century. The estimate is contingent on a full condition report. Please note asking or dealer prices may vary. Thank you and please take care.
