What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a chinese porcelain bowl for domestic use, decorated with various flowers and a bird, and four chinese characters which are very difficult to decipher. The footrim is not glazed, but I would still consider the bowl to be porcelain and not stoneware or similar. Production date should be between 1870-1920 or late Qing to Republic period. The estimate is based on similar items offered or sold at auction.
