Dear Christopher,
You have two porcelain Japanese Kutani vases made late 19th century. Mark reads : Dai Nippon Kaga kuni Kutani Sengakudo Kyozan seisei' Kyozan is the maker of the vase. Kyozan is known for his paintings on Satsuma vases ( Japanese eartenware ) but also did Kutani decorations. He is not one of the famous artists. Although Japanese porcelain is not very hot in the market I feel the size and quality of these vases are appealing to a lot of people. My estimation is based on vases with no damage or restorations.
Size is a small problem. If you have an international bidder then shipping costs are really high. A local auction house with some history in selling Asian art is a good option. Be aware you ask for a reserve price around the low estimate. If bidders are not there at that particular time you will not sell them for to little money. I feel you will sell them quickly.
Regards,
Simon Breider
Thank you. Do you have any idea where I could sell these?
