This is an off-the-shoulder, strapless black evening gown made in the UK in the 1950's or early 1960's. Length is approximately 52 inches. I believe material is silk taffeta, with built-in corset and spreading skirt.
The dress was purchased by my grandmother in the 1950's or early 1960's and worn by her exclusively.
