Dear Ted Kelhoffer,
Thank you for your appraisal submission. The work is a poster sized print on paper by Razzia (Gérard Courbouleix-Deneriaz, French, born 1950). In the provided description, the work is described as a dye sublimation print which would require a physical examination to confirm. The work depicts a black stiletto heel bracing a lit cigar amidst a red background. The top margin of the work reads "CIGARS." The work is signed in plate to the lower right with an additional live signature to the lower left. Based on the images provided, the work is in good condition with minor signs of creasing. It measures 128 x 130cm in frame.
Razzia was born in 1950 in Montparnasse. He is a reknown poster artist who creates all work after original paintings. Throughout his career, Razzia has collaborated with multiple brands, including Louis Vuitton. He has an extensive auction record including signed and unsigned works. Three signed, Louis Vuitton collaboration posters have already sold in 2025 with one work passing, and the other two selling for $390 each. Another edition of the Cigar poster sold at the Ross Art Group in 2024 for $190. Despite the various differences in his poster creations, there do not seem to be any significant sales trends signaling to buyer preferences. Therefore, the Fair Market Value of this work is estimated based on overall sales trends of the artist's work. We estimate the FMV of this work between $200 and $500.
Thank you again for your submission.
Kind regards,
Charlotte B.
