Chip in one of the joints -- may need repair. Photos attached
Donated from an Estate
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Based on the photographs and information provided, this is a Guy Renne Clarinet and case, circa 1930. The piece appears to show a possible condition issue with wood damage noted specifically beneath the ligature in the area between the bell and the lower joint. The photographs indicate that new corks and possibly pads are needed and based on the wood condition issues, the piece's value would be as a project piece. Unfortunately Guy Renne is not a widely-sought-after maker. Using this piece as parts for another instrument, its fair market value as a project-piece in as-is condition with its case is estimated at $75 to $100.
Thank you.
