Hi Sheila,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
There isn't much on Whits Pottery available online, though there are several pieces of their pottery - mostly earthenware and stoneware - on Etsy and other retail sites (pricing on retail sites is 2-3x higher than fair market, the values Mearto appraises at).
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Whits Midcentury Modern stoneware footed bowl
model P-205, mid 20th Century
Of circular section and squat form, with crimped in-curving rim, striated sides and straited base with four feet, marked to the bottom "Whits / P-205"
5 inches high, 11 1/2 inches diameter
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition
$75-125*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you again for using Mearto.
