Dear Jamie,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil or acrylic paint on canvas with the measurements of 28 x 17 inches. The painting depicts a clown and is signed with a not total readable signature. The last name can be clearly read as Pfeffer and from the first name just the last three letters are clearly readable as "...ata" or less possible "...eter". There is no fitting artist with the last name Pfeffer mentioned in reference books and auction result databases. This artwork was made in the second half of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 100 to 200 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
