This is an antique, 19th century, Victorian era, personalized silverplated collapsible cup with chase engraving that was made by the American firm, Meriden, from Meriden, Connecticut. Quadrulpe plate, or plated silver does not have a precious metal melt down value like sterling silver does. the C71 is mold form pattern 'name'. These usually come with a cup case or holder too.
