Hi Vonnie,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
I haven't been able to find out much on Cosmo Corp in Newark NJ - they were probably a short-lived firm - and I've not been able to find any other surviving Big League Sets. This strongly suggests it was either a novelty set or a small-batch produced by a company that did not survive for very long, not even long enough to appear in the record books that are available online.
As a specialized item, I could see this being a very desirable collectible by baseball historians or baseball museums; if it was offered in a sporting auction such as those conducted by Heritage Auctions, Goldens or Lelands, I would not be surprised to see it bring several hundred or even a few thousand dollars, though those firms would likely place a conservatively low value on it since there are no market comps.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Cosmo Corp Big League Baseball Set
circa 1950s
comprising a ball, glove, bat and cap, in a sealed plastic and cardboard bag.
9 by 2 inches
CONDITION: New in the bag
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$300-500*
