Hello,
This is a finely decorated Chinese porcelain cricket box, likely from the Qing Dynasty (1644β1912). The oval-shaped box is adorned with a hand-painted scene of figures in a garden, surrounded by floral motifs.
The lid features perforations, a standard design for housing crickets, which were kept for their songs or used in cricket fighting. The glaze appears to be in good condition with no significant chips or cracks.
