Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful engagement ring. Such vintage diamond rings are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The design of the ring is extraordinary with a beautiful very elegant and classic design. It is the type of ring that never goes out of fashion. It is very smart with the emerald cut and baguette cut diamonds. This is the type of ring that would attract the attention of both collectors and dealers if it came up for auction.
The size of the ring and the material used for the ring is signs of good quality which is reflected in the price. However this is an auction price which is much lower compared to an insurance value.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised jewellery auction, where I believe the lovely diamond ring has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the lovely diamond engagement ring.
Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
Thank you for your comment.
Mearto's main product is a fair market valuation. That is, what you could expect the crisscut diamond engagement ring to sell for if you took them to auction, based on current prices for comparable items. This value does tend to be quite a bit lower than the retail replacement value for certain items. For an insurance valuation, we recommend that you reach out to a certified appraiser in your area. Insurance valuations tend to be more complex and may require an in-person examination of the item being appraised. For this reason, we're not able to offer them online for $19. However, we do offer a complimentary database of local appraisers that you are welcome to search: www.mearto.com/appraisers.
If there's anything else that we can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask!
Thank you, Sabrina! Can you tell me the insurance appraisal amount?
