What does this mean?

Dear Dawn,

I see modern production earthenware made in China. Its a monochrome green colored bowl made on a pottery wheel and glazed. Its not very old. There seems to be a hallmark on the bottom but Its a little vague and not possible to read. About Chinese marks; most pieces with marks are a tribute to an older emperor or a way to show good quality. So in most cases the mark is not adding information to the object. In fact it makes it only more unclear. For example you read Great Emperor Chienlung ( 1735 until 1796 ) but bowl is made early 20th century. Your bowl is made in last 40 years and not an antique yet. It surely has good quality and will be antiques of the future.
