What does this mean?

Good morning, Tami,

Thank you for using Mearto for your appraisal inquiry.

These look very much like chairs Hans Wegner designed; the design has been copied but originals can still bring some good money. Is there a brand or label that would identify the maker? I've evaluated these as copies so please let me know if you have reason to believe they are the originals.

Based on the photographs and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A Pair of Danish Modern Hans Wegner Teakwood Slatted Folding Side chairs
Probably third quarter 20th Century
Overall height of back 36 inches; seat height 16 1/2 inches; seat width 21 inches
CONDITION: appear to be in good condition commensurate with age and use
PROVENANCE: previously owned by the client's aunt
$300-500*

Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you for using Mearto.

Is there a way to tell if these are Hans Werner? I do not see any makers mark/signature on the chairs.

Sorry, I meant Hans Wegner. Is the $300-$500 appraisal per chair or for the two?

Delia Mar 10, 16:20 UTC

It's for the pair. If you don't see any marks or labels, these are almost certainly reproductions and worth the price quoted: $300-500 for the pair.
