Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful coloured limited edition print. Such D'arcy Doyle limited edition prints are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
D'arcy Doyle (1932-2001) was a world famous Austrailian artist. He was very productive and made lovely romantic motifs, several of these sold as limited edition prints.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised online art auction, where I believe the D'arcy Doyle print has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the print. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
Thank you for your reply. There is a difference between the retail price, insurance price and the selling price. The insurance prices is usually 2-3 times higher than the estimate for eg. an online auction. Still I see your point and am afraid that at the moment art by D'arcy Doyle is not that expensive. Hope you will enjoy the beautiful print on your wall.
Thank you
Hi Sabrina
Thank you for your appraisal.
Must admit a bit disappointed as was led to understand that when it was assessed for insurance purchases about 15 years ago, the figure was $A1,000+.
At the value you have indicated we will leave it decorating our walls
Thank you again.
