The table appears to have a Rococo or Baroque style, characterized by its ornate gold gilding and curved legs. This style of furniture was prevalent in 18th-century France and then spread to other parts of Europe. The leather top is also a traditional feature, often seen in writing desks and tables from the same period.

Good morning, Beatrice,
Thank you for the additional photos, which were very helpful to me in confirming that this desk is NOT 18th early even 19th Century but was made in the first half of the 20th Century (1900-1950.
Regrettably, this style of furniture has fallen out of favor with many collectors, who prefer a more casual living style. With greater supply than demand, prices remain modest.
Let me know if you have questions; otherwise, this appraisal is complete.
Thank you again for using Mearto and have a great weekend,
Delia
I sent the additional pictures.
