This is a newer doll and does have the marking MAJungquist 1987 on it. The head and hands are a hard plastic I think and the rest of the body is cloth.

Hi Angie,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The head of this doll looks to me - from the photos - to be bisque porcelain rather than plastic and I've appraised it as such but if it IS plastic please let me know and I'll amend this.
Minerva Jungquist was a doll maker and restorer; while she might have signed the dolls she fixed, it's more likely this is one of her creations. Her dolls don't bring much money either at auction or on the retail marketplace - ones of this size usually sell for between $40-60 at auction and $75-125 retail.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage bisque porcelain and cloth doll
Minerva Jungquist (1931-2019), Pennsylvania, dated 1987
With painted bisque porcelain head and hands on a cloth body dressed in a white polyester(?) bonnet and christening dress. Signed and dated to the body.
11 inches tall
CONDITION: This doll appears to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$ 40-60*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, or questions/concerns, and thank you again for using Mearto.
