family antique
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful vintage doll. Such nearly antique dolls are being offered at auction on a regular basis. The doll was probably made in Germany around the 2 world war. This type of material, clay that has been burnt and painted after the burning was very popular during the 1930s-1940s. The hair style also gives away that it was made in this era. The doll has the original clothes. It appears to be in fairly good condition however the few scratches and missing paint in the face will decrease the value of the doll. I guess there are no marks on the doll since you have not stated this. If there is it would be helpful to determine the maker of the doll.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online toys auction, where I believe the doll has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the antique doll. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

Thank you for your comment. This type of doll may be offered at a higher retail price, but retail prices are usually higher than actual sold prices. When appraising your doll I have taken the size and condition of your doll into consideration and this is the value I find realistic for your doll.
