"A Difficult Bunker" is part of a trio of golfing scenes by Douglas Adams depicting the Conwy Golf Club (Caernarvonshire, Wales). The other two are "The Drive" and "Putting Green." Adams visited Conwy Golf Club on September 3, 1893, and painted the scenes that same year.
The original paintings were then published as photogravures in 1894 by Henry Graves & Co. These are engravings/print reproductions of the painted works.
While this print can usually be acquired in a gallery for between $100 and $200, when it sells at auction, it usually brings between $50 and $100.
